Week Two Progress

This week Hannah and I figured out exactly where and when we are going places. This weekend we plan to go to Ferdinands Familia and complete the orientation. The Wednesday after that we are going to go to the  Greyhound Adoption Center. We have also started to plan for Exhibition and for the weeks ahead. For exhibition we plan to have rescue animals that we could show to prove that even rescues can be lovable. We are trying to come up with a more permanent display. We also plan to go to Ferdinands Familia the weekend after.

Week Two - Continuing On

For the past week, Alex and I have been working on several different things. One thing we've done is meet with our teachers Darrell and Mrs. Ruff to show our progress to them so far. The critique they gave us was to setup the actual days and times we're going to volunteer at Ferdinand's Familia and the Greyhound Adoption Center. While trying to find days, Alex and I ran into some problems. We had a hard time finding days both of us were able to volunteer, especially over the weekends. Then fixed the problem by writing all the days we were free to go and later talking and agreeing on days. We've also been working on making drafts of emails to send, along with sending out those emails.  Overall this week was successful for our project so far.

Week One Reflection

This week was just planning for the next few weeks and for spring break. We already have volunteer locations set up and we have a schedule for the next few weeks. During spring break we are going to be doing individual generous acts and after that we will be volunteering at a different place every week. This week we worked on revising and getting our letters approved to send to our mentors. We also  looked up all of the possible volunteer locations and made a list:
- Nurture for Nature
- Greyhound adoption center
- Ferdinands Familia
We will go to the above places during the next three weeks.

Week One - Starting the Project

For the past week, my partner Alex and I have been starting our generosity with animals project. Our project outline was approved by our teachers after we presented the basic idea, so we have been writing our business letters to request a mentor. Both of us have been researching various charities we plan on volunteering at, such as Ferdinand's Familia, Nurtured by Nature, and the Greyhound Adoption Center. Our next step is to start contacting these organizations to set up times for us to go volunteer.

Hopes, Dreams, and Aspirations

During this project, we hope that we can work with animals and change their lives for the better. In these four weeks our plan is:
Week one: Planning for the next few weeks
Week two: Animal Shelter 1-2 times
Week three:Horse Ranch 1-2 times
Week four: Dog walking around neighborhoods 1-2 times

We selected to base our project off of animals because we were both raised around animals and want to help animals in any way we can. Doing this project was a chance for us both to give back to animals and we jumped on the opportunity right away.
